We have several active research projects, in collaboration with international institutions, and supercomputing centers world-wide. We are looking for new group members who are genuinely intrigued by large-scale parallel and multicore computing. If interested (postdoc, Ph.D. and M.Sc), please send an email.

Congrats to Najeeb and Buse for their paper accepted at Europar'20, a major European Parallel Processing conference. Our paper is titled as "A Prediction Framework for Fast Sparse Triangular Solves", which presents a machine learning approach for selecting algorithms for sparse triangular solves. Aditya presented his paper at Supercomputing'19
The ComDetective tool on detecting inter-thread communication is presented at a major high performance computing conference, Supercomputing 2019. The conference is held in Denver, Colorado, USA in November. The paper is available online and the tool is open source for interested users. If you encounter any issues with the tool, send us an email.
Our paper is nominated for Best Paper and Best Student Paper at Supercomputing'19
Our paper on inter-thread communication detection is accepted for publication at a major high performance computing conference, Supercomputing 2019. It is also nominated for both the best paper and best student paper. Congrats to the parcorelab members Aditya, Palwisha and our collaborator Milind at Uber. Dr. Unat received BAGEP award
Dr. Unat was awared the Science Academy, Turkey Young Scientist Award (BAGEP) this year. The award ceremony took place in Hacettepe University on April 26th, 2019. Here is a picture from the ceremony while receiving the award with her dear son, Poyraz.
Dr. Unat has received new TUBITAK research grant.
Dr. Unat is awarded a new grant from TUBITAK 1001 program. The project will be focusing on the effortless parallelization of deep learning frameworks.

Dr. Unat gave a talk on her research on supercomputing at an event organized by TEDx Istanbul on Oct 13th. The event, moderated by Emin Çapa, took place in Zorlu PSM and was attended by 2500 people. The video will be posted here when it gets online.
Congrats to Nufail for his Supercomputing 2018 (SC'18) paper
Our paper titled "Phase Asynchronous AMR Execution for Productive and Performant Astrophysical Flows" has been accepted to appear at the prestiguous Supercomputing Conference held in Nov 2018 in Dallas, USA. Congrats to Nufail for this major achievement.
[Agust 2018] Congrats to Hassan for his paper accepted for presentation at Europar, which is held in August in Turin, Italy. The paper proposes Runtime Determinacy Race Detection for OpenMP Tasks.
[July 2018] Congrats to Mohammad for his paper accepted for presentation at SBAC-PAD, which is held in Sept in Lyon, France. The paper proposes a dynamic object placement algorithm for the KNL chip equipped with high bandwidth memory and high capacity memory.
[Summer 2018] Five of our lab members are graduating this summer. Nufail and Hassan are earning their PhDs. Burak, Mohammad and Pirah are receiving their MS degrees. Hassan will be joining ASML, the Advanced Semiconductor Materials International in Holland, Pirah is moving to Chalmers University, Sweden for pursuing her PhD, Mohammad is moving to Virgnia Tech, USA for pursuing his PhD. Congrats to ALL.
[Summer 2018] Doga will be doing an internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in USA this summer, working on accelerating deep learning applications on supercomputers.
[Jun 2018] Our lab member Pirah is accepted to PhD program at Chalmers University, Sweden. She has received her MS degree with the research she did in our group.

[July 2016] Paper Accepted for IEEE/ACM Supercomputing 2016: Our paper on the asynchronous runtime for AMR frameworks is accepted for publication at IEEE/ACM Supercomputing 2016. The acceptance rate is 18% (82/446 submissions).
[Jun 2016] Our paper on tiling library is accepted for publication at the International Supercomputing Conference in June, in Frankfurt Germany, 2016.
[Jan 2016] Dr. Unat has received 1001-TUBITAK award for 3 years.
